Business Intelligence (BI) is a broad term referring to technological tools, processes, and infrastructures designed to help organizations improve their data-driven decision making by collecting, managing, and analyzing their data.
HelioCampus is a cloud-based analytics tool designed to aid departments, schools, and offices in identifying trends, forecasting, and accessing historical data. Interactive dashboards provide high-level overviews of the topics below while also allowing users to uncover insights at more granular levels including departments and academic plans. Users are able to export their dashboards as Excel spreadsheets for further analysis, or as a PDFs to share specific visuals.

BusinessObjects is a reporting system used within TCNJ for the purpose of easily running list-based reports to fulfill various college-based data needs. These range from simple reports that only use a few parameters to complex reports which contain multiple queries and custom formulas and measures.
Faculty and staff can request for reports to be made which greatly decrease the time spent disseminating data in PAWS. Once a report is published, users may export it as a PDF or Excel document, and have it regularly sent to their work devices.
